Trademark License & Brand Use Agreement
The Staley Standard
This Trademark License and Brand Use Agreement governs the use of the trademarks, name, logo, and associated intellectual property owned by The Staley Standard.
The Staley Standard is the sole owner of its brand identity, trademarks, logo, frameworks, programs, and related materials. All rights, title, and interest in these marks remain the exclusive property of The Staley Standard.
Use of any trademark belonging to The Staley Standard indicates acceptance of the terms outlined in this agreement.
1. Limited License
The Staley Standard may grant a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to approved organizations, partners, collaborators, or supporters to reference or display The Staley Standard name or logo.
This license allows use solely for the purpose of:
• referencing an approved collaboration
• acknowledging participation in a program
• identifying an educational or community initiative connected to The Staley Standard
This license does not grant ownership or rights to reproduce, distribute, or commercialize The Staley Standard intellectual property.
2. Trademark Ownership
All trademarks, service marks, logos, program titles, and brand identifiers associated with The Staley Standard remain the exclusive property of The Staley Standard.
Any goodwill generated from the use of these trademarks shall benefit The Staley Standard.
Nothing in this agreement constitutes a transfer, assignment, or sale of trademark ownership.
3. Proper Use of Trademarks
Approved users agree to the following conditions:
• The trademark or logo must not be modified, altered, distorted, or recreated.
• Colors, typography, proportions, and design must remain exactly as provided.
• The trademark must be displayed professionally and respectfully.
• The trademark must not appear more prominently than the licensed organization's name unless explicitly authorized.
• The trademark must only be used in connection with approved programs, activities, or communications.
Users may not create derivative logos or brand marks based on The Staley Standard.
4. Brand Representation
Users must ensure that any reference to The Staley Standard:
• accurately represents the relationship between the organizations
• does not imply endorsement unless formally granted in writing
• does not misrepresent The Staley Standard mission, programs, or leadership
Unless explicitly authorized, the following language should be used:
“Supported by The Staley Standard”
or
“In collaboration with The Staley Standard.”
5. Prohibited Uses
The Staley Standard trademarks may not be used in connection with:
• illegal or unethical activities
• discriminatory or intolerant messaging
• obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit material
• promotion of alcohol, tobacco, firearms, or controlled substances
• political campaigns or endorsements
• misleading claims about programs or services
• content that could harm the reputation of The Staley Standard
The Staley Standard reserves the right to determine whether use of the trademark is appropriate.
6. Digital and Online Use
Use of The Staley Standard trademark in digital media must comply with the following:
• The logo must not be animated or altered for visual effects.
• The trademark must not be used in domain names, social media handles, or digital branding without written permission.
• The trademark must not be used in paid advertising without authorization.
7. Intellectual Property Protection
The Staley Standard frameworks, methodologies, educational content, and assessments are proprietary intellectual property.
